Today (March 21), the K1 children and their teachers visited the Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. First, the staff introduced the children to different types of animals, helping them understand the needs and feelings of animals, and teaching them to care for animals and respect life. Then, through an animated video, the children learned that pets are our good friends, and that we need to spend time with them and take care of them.
Staff then led the children to the adoption section to visit animals awaiting adoption, including turtles, parrots, hamsters, rabbits, and even lizards. They also visited the dog and cat shelters, where enthusiastic puppies and kittens seemed to welcome the children, wagging their tails and barking or meowing.
Today, the children learned that all small animals have precious lives, and we must take good care of them!
